"This café, located next to Mitre 10, serves a decent cup of coffee and has a vibe that reminds me of an IKEA restaurant. As a nice bonus, there's free sparkling water available beside the tap. While it can get a bit busy at times, the lively atmosphere and the view of the plants next door make the experience enjoyable."

"I had avocado toast here for lunch today. Chef Jessie has delivered the plate to my table by himself. The food was amazing, fresh, delicious and lovely presentated! It's one of my favourite places for healthy delicious lunch. As well they have sparkling water straight from the tap, what is so unusual."

"Such a lovely experience at Columbus Coffee Papanui! The cafe is delightful, very spacious and lots of natural light. The service was wonderful, big shout out to Chef Jessie - my Mum and Nan were splitting an Eggs Benedict and he came out and asked if they wanted it done on two seperate plates - just a little thing, but the food came out so beautifully presented - it was really lovely. My meal was absolutely delicious as well - highly recommend the Katsu Chicken Bowl! Thanks to the team at Columbus and thanks again to Chef Jessie!"

"Yum! And very helpful Chef Jessie adapted a dish especially for our tastes and all of our meals were beautifully presented and very tasty. He is clearly working hard to make customers happy. Impressive for a cafe attached to a hardware store. Highly recommend the chicken katsu bowl, egg and bacon pie and pancakes. Choc milkshake was amazing and we are always happy with the coffee."

"This place definitely deserves 5 stars. ⭐ We are a family of 4 living just in the corner and we have been to here many times. The angus beef burger is highly recommended, both my kids love it, almost ordered it weekly for a treat. Sometimes I take my little one to have a yummy dissuade roll and a cup of coffee, very relaxing time. Jessie the Chef is very nice, our kids love the kitchen food he made. He is always seeking chances to talk to people for feedback when not too busy, thank you And the girls are doing a great job in making coffee, and great customer services as well!
